QUAESAR x Underground Hiphop Artist out of Los Angeles California.
I grew up in the 80s, under the influence of breakdancing, beat boxing, and early-era graffiti. I started my music career in 1995 as a founding member of Rime Fytahs (Rhyme Fighters), along side the late Haewhyer (Haywire). Soon after, we developed the Creators of the Lost Arts (C.O.L.A. Crew), releasing numerous projects throughout the L.A. underground scene, which you can chronologically track back year-for-year.
We acquired an infamous reputation for aggressively attacking local open mics and high-jacking stages at events. Though we've been performing at grimey local spots from San Gabriel Valley, to City Terrace, El Sereno, East L.A. etc,, Haewhyer and I got our first true break, in 2003, opening up for L.A. Symphony at an in-store event hosted by GCS, Pomona.
In 2005, I lost my partner in rhyme, Haewhyer, in an auto accident, leaving me to carry on the Rime Fytahs name and philosophy. My Mother passed away a couple years prior, so his loss put me into a real dark time, mentally and emotionally. My only outlet was my music. Thus, there are no work gaps in my Hiphop resume.
Besides the projects I've released, I've has become an official Project Blowed member, and have opened up for Artists such as; Scarub of Living Legends, Ellay Khule aka Rifleman, KRS ONE (RhymeFest L.A.), Hieroglyphics (3rd Eye Anniversary Tour), Aceyalone, Masta Ace, the Artifacts, Volume 10, Medusa, and Czarface to name a few, as well as headlined a few of my own events.
My contribution to the culture goes beyond the stage. Rather it's providing silk-screen services, or utilizing my graffiti background to produce custom handstyles for logos and product branding, I have creating an invisible-hand for numerous underground Hiphop artists, thus facilitating their independence.
Life don't stop, and neither does it's challenges. I've put my heart into this as well as my struggles. You can learn more in-detail about me by listening to my music.
I'm always working on new projects and developing new sounds and styles to drop. I don't plan on stopping any time soon., so stay tuned...
